3626308 - Confirmation pop-up when saving custom Banners

When uploading images to custom banners, a Confirmation pop-up is displayed upon saving it:

• "For performance reasons, uploaded image for the banner is classified as publicly-viewable data on the Web. This is similar to how an organization's logo on its public website is viewable by anyone on the Web. This means that you should not upload images if these are classified as private data that are meant to be viewable only by your organization. Are you sure that the uploaded image you have provided is allowed to be publicly viewable, and that you want to save this data for the banner?"

What does it mean?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Log into HCM >
2. Navigate to Learning Administration > System Administration > Application Administration > Banners >
3. Create a new banner or edit an existing one >
4. In step 2 (Images), upload the required image >
5. Proceed with the banner creation / edition >
6. In step 5 (Visibility), define the required details and click on 'Save' >
7. The Confirmation pop-up is displayed >
8. Upon 'OK', the banner gets saved with no issues.

The Confirmation pop-up displayed when uploading an image to a custom banner is to warn the Learning admins that these images will be treated as publicly accessible on the internet. This means that anyone with the link to the image might be able to see it. This setup helps improve performance.

As per Engineering team, the main point is to ensure that images added to custom banners don't include any private or sensitive information like internal charts, team photos, confidential documents, or anything meant to stay within the customer's company / organization.
