3626309 - Reverse Journal Entry Type '00107 - General Ledger Posting External System' Without Reposting

• Multiple journal entries have been mistakenly posted in the production system via webservice. The Journal Entry Type is 00107 - General Ledger Posting External System and Source Document Type is 1847 - External Source Document.
• These duplicate entries has to be reversed without reposting them, but the system does not offer an option to reverse only. 

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Source Documents view.
3. Select All Source documents from the dropdown menu.
4. Search for the respective document ID of type 1847 - External Source Document.
5. Select View > Business Transaction.
6. For the Journal Entry Type: 00107-General Ledger Posting External System, there is no reversal button. Only, Reverse and repost is available.

These Journal Entry Type: 00107 - General Ledger Posting External System and Source Document Type: 1847 - External Source Document cannot be reversed or cancelled once they have been posted. This is due to Legal reasons (Audit), and there is no original document created in the system for these entries.

The only way to reverse these posting is to create a manual journal entry with the offsetting entries.
