3627349 - Global Assignment and Concurrent Employment Not Restricted Simultaneously for Same Employee

According to the Implementing and Managing the Employment Lifecycle (from Hiring to Termination) - Types of Employment guide:

• "A global assignment and concurrent employment cannot be applied to the same employee at the same time. This means that if an employee has a concurrent employment, they cannot have a global assignment at the same time."

However, it has been observed that the system does not enforce this restriction, and both employment types can be added for the same employee in some scenarios.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to: Employee Profile
2. Select Home Assignment > Action > Add: Concurrent Employment
3. Submit the new employment
4. Select Concurrent Employment > Actions > Add: Global Assignment
5. Submit the new employment

Currently, the system does not enforce this restriction. However, the general recommendation is to avoid assigning both a Global Assignment and a Concurrent Employment to the same employee at the same time. This setup is not supported and may lead to unexpected behavior.
