3627868 - Is it possible to backup ASE in a version and restore it in another during a downgrade? - SAP ASE

Symptom

There is a need to know if it is possible to backup ASE in a version (i.e. 16.0 SP04), perform a minor downgrade, and restore the database in the downgraded version of ASE (i.e. 16.0 SP03).

Environment

Sybase ASE Database Platform (non Business Suite).
