Symptom
In the Team View, in the subordinate's Learning History section, the manager sees the "Add" button even when they do not have the permissions needed to add learning history records. When the manager clicks on the "Add" button, they receive an error message informing them they do not have the necessary permissions:
Error message: Access Denied. You do not have the required permission to view this page.

Reproducing the Issue
- Log into HCM as a manager > navigate to the Learning module >
- Ensure the following permissions are not granted:
a) Access Direct Report to Add External History Records
b) Access Direct Report to Add History Records > - Navigate to the Team View in the New Learning Experience >
- Click on View History for a user in the team >
- Observe that the "Add" button (on the upper right corner) is visible >
- Click on the "Add" button and note the error message.
Cause
This is a legacy experience behavior carried over to ILX.
Resolution
Engineering team has enhanced the behavior, and it has been delivered as part of the b2511 version (b2H2025 release).
For VSaaS customers, this means that the improvement is planned to be delivered as part of the b2605 release version, as per the schedule available at Learning Validated SaaS Release Schedule.
