3628178 - Bank key length error "Bank key & must have length &&" when creating bank master data - S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When creating bank data in app Manage Banks - Master Data the following error is encountered: "Bank key & must have length &&".

S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app Manage Banks - Master Data.
2. Select Create button.
3. In the pop up window 'Create Bank' add the following parameters: 'Bank Country/Region' and 'Bank Key'.
4. Select 'Create Bank'.
5. Error occurs: "Bank key & must have length &&".

As per the error message text: 'The data entered has a different format than that defined in the country-specific check.' The error is due to country-specific checks for bank data in Configuration Activity 102592.

1. Check the 'Bank Key' settings in Configuration Activity '102592 Basic Settings' based on country key.
2. Check digits maintained under Formal checks > Length of Bank Key.
