3628423 - Unable to Release Sales Order and Journal Entry Voucher Automatically Through Custom Odata Service

Symptom

When creating Sales Orders and Journal Entry Vouchers in SAP Business ByDesign via a custom OData service, the relevant data transferred from a SQL Server into the system appears correctly. However, the Sales Orders and Journal Entry Vouchers are not being released automatically as expected.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter
  2. Go to OData Services workcenter view
  3. Create the Sales order and Journal entry voucher in the SAP Business by Design system through the custom Odata service
  4. Observe that the Sales order and Journal entry voucher are not released automatically

Cause

The functionality is not supported.

Resolution

This is a standard system behaviour.
