Symptom

  • When trying to logon to a Sybase repository from Data Services Designer, the bellow error can be seen:

Sybase connection error: <Sybase Server message number <4002> State <1> Severity <14> From Server <SERVER_ID>:   Message Text is: Login failed.
Sybase CS Library message number <XXXX> Severity <4>:   Message Text is: ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed.>
