Symptom

  • When a table report is exported in Excel format, it is downloaded as a Microsoft Excel 97-2003 worksheet (.xls) instead of the newer Microsoft Excel worksheet (.xlsx). 
  • This KB article will provide more information on how to get this changed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to report center;
  2. Create/Run table report;
  3. Export the report in Excel format;
  4. The report will get downloaded in Microsoft Excel 97-2003 worksheet.

Cause

Necessary toggle needs to be disabled for the instance.

Resolution

Please reach out to SAP Support Team in order to opt out the necessary toggle for the instance under component (LOD-SF-ANA).
