Symptom

It's not possible to find button Profitability Segment for journal entry item in Manage Journal Entries app

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

If Profitability Segment is assigned to a journal entry item, there are 2 kinds of situation.

  1. Profitability Segment is the real account assignment.
    You can find in this case, Account Assignment Type is EO (Profitability Segmnt).
  2. If Account Assignment Type is not EO, Profitability Segment is only attributed account assignment.

Resolution

Only in the first situation, the Profitability Segment button is shown.
