3628916 - Delete Exchange Rate in General Ledger

Request to delete an Exchange Rate completely however you can still see it as inactive in the System and it also appears in the View Exchange Rate History.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Center.
2. Go to the Edit Exchange Rates View.
3. Remove the Exchange Rate for ABC - DEF (where ABC represents the Source Currency and DEF represents the Target Currency).
4. It still appears as inactive in the System and it also appears now in the View Exchange Rate History.
   You expect it to be removed completely.

You cannot delete an Exchange Rate.

To make the Exchange Rate inactive follow the below steps:

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Center.
2. Go to the Edit Exchange Rates View.
3. Filter for the Source Currency ABC and the Target Currency DEF.
4. Select Remove from the top of the screen.
5. Press Save and Close.

By selecting Remove this moves the content of the row to the exchange rate history. the removed exchange rate is automatically set to inactive.
