3629021 - pdf not opening from fiori application in google chrome or firefox

Symptom

  • PDF files are not opening in the Chrome or Firefox browser from the fiori application
  • Error messages in console log: "2025-06-30 17:04:11.270899 Error: Underlying iframe was not found in DOM." and "2025-06-30 17:04:13.547199 Error: Underlying iframe was not found in DOM."
  • On 1.130.6 and later the error is Failed to load 'blob: <address> 'GET' is the only method allowed for 'blob:' 
  • It keeps loading on Firefox browser with the error message displayed in console log: "Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: this._fireErrorEvent is not a function"
