3629167 - Different User id is generated after submitting the candidate in Manage pending Hires/Recruits via Business rule

When user is being hired from onboarding 2.0 and have a configuration to generate the custom id which is assigned in the "Rule for Onboarding User ID Generation " under Onboarding configuration. But, we also have a rule to generate the id under Hire/Rehire configuration object which is assigned in the "Rule to generate next employee ID  " at the EC end where both the sequences differ.

1. Go to Admin Center ->  Employee Files -> Manage Data.
2. Select Onboarding Configuration in the first dropdown and DEFAULT_ONB2_CONFIG in the second dropdown.
3. In the Rule for Onboarding User ID Generation dropdown, select the rule that you've created with sequence XXX
4. Repeat the step 1.
5. Select New Hire/Rehire Configuration in the first dropdown and MatchingUserConfiguration in the second dropdown.
6. In the Rule to generate next employee ID dropdown, select the rule you've created with sequence YYY
7. Hire a candidate from Onboarding and move to MPH
8. Fill in the details if any
9. Submit
10. Notice that user id generated is from the sequence XXX and Business rule fails at the EC end upon checking in the rule trace.

This is an Expected behavior.

When user id is generated via business rule at the onboarding side due to the Onboarding configuration, then rule will fail at the EC end though rule is assigned in the Hire/Rehire configuration object which is by design in ONB 2.0

Suggestion

Please ensure that hiring happens at the onboarding side else sequence will be skipped if candidate did not join and you need to import the user to fill the skipped sequence as a workaround.
