Symptom

  • Pipelines in SAP Signavio Process Intelligence not working anymore.
  • Error message: Event log generation error caused by canvas connectionNachricht beim Laden des Ereignisprotokolls: Fehler beim Aktualisieren des verbundenen Prozesses: Failed to upload to pex-backend. Reason: Target responded with 'Unprocessable Entity': Signal query sent to datastore is invalid.

Data model / ETL for SAP Signavio Process Intelligence

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Execute the daily Transform & Load process.
  2. Observe the error during the Transform & Load process.

Resolution

    1. Open your process and select Settings in the header menu.

    2. On the settings page, select the Process Views tab and add a process view.

    3. On the configuration page, enter a name.

    4. On the What is visible tab, hover over a column header and choose an option:

      • Filter: Limit the data set in this column. The filter options depend on the data type.

      • Hide: Hide the data of this column completely.

    5. On the Who can see tab, assign the users who need access to the data.

    6. Confirm with Save.
