3629468 - "Pension/Retirement Savings Plan" enrollments that are not "workplace" type do not show on any overview page if the Latest Benefits Overview Screen is configured - Employee Central

Symptom

"Pension/Retirement Savings Plan" Enrollments (from all types other than Workplace), do not show on Benefit Overview Page if there is a "Benefits Overview Page Configuration" created. Even if the "Benefits Overview Selection" is "Latest and Legacy Benefits Overview".

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario:

You have two Benefits of the "Pension/Retirement Savings Plan", one with "Retirement Plan Type" as "Workplace" and one with type "Savings Plan" (Or Employer or State). Both Benefits have active enrollments.  

  • Behavior 1: If you are using the Legacy Overview Page: All enrollments will show in Benefit Overview Page. 
  • Behavior 2: If you have enabled the "Latest Overview Page" and created the "Benefits Overview Page Configuration" with selection as “Latest and Legacy Benefits Overview”  or "Latest Benefits Overview":
    • In employee profile, the Pension Savings enrollment will show on the Active Enrollments section before clicking in "go to benefits";
    • In the Legacy Overview, the enrollments for benefit with retirement types of "Savings Plan", "Employer" or "State"do not show;
    • In the Latest Overview, the enrollments for benefit with retirement types Workplace shows as expected.

Cause

This is Expected behavior. Only workplace pension type is supported in the latest enrollment experience and latest benefits overview.

Please Note: This behaviour is also the same for all benefits which are supported in the Latest Enrollment Experience. Once the latest enrollment experience is enabled, then supported benefits will only appear in latest overview screen.

Resolution

  • If Latest Overview is enabled, enrollments from benefit type "Pension/Retirement Savings Plan" of retirement types other than Workplace will not be shown via UI. It will only be visible via Manage data;
  • If Customer wants want to have enrollments of all types shown (including savings plan and/or employer types), the Legacy Overview configuration needs to be kept; 
  • Customers can enable the latest enrollment screen and not the overview only if they have configured the enrollment process (enrollment wizard). But the legacy overview page will still show the legacy enrollment UIs

We recommend customers to switch to Workplace pension type as they will be able to manage all the pension related requirements with workplace type. 

The only limitation is multiple pension funds. Multiple pension funds are not yet supported in workplace, but everything else is available in the workplace pension type.

There are plans to enhance workplace type for multiple funds in the upcoming releases, but no timeframe is defined yet.
