3629490 - Connection Server goes into Failed State during refresh of Web Intelligence reports based on Oracle database

Symptom

  • After upgrade the BI 4.3 SP3 P4, while refreshing the Oracle OCI based Web Intelligence reports are failing with the below error:
    => The following database error occurred: (CS) "Fail to create an instance of Job: Failed to reconnect the service CS_CORBA_NetworkLayer, reason: All the servers with CMS localhost:6400 and kind connectionserver are down or disabled" . For information about this error, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901), server error. []: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]]
  • Additionally, the Connection Server went to failed state after refresh the Web Intelligence report. 
  • The Web Intelligence server logs indicate the below traces and indicate that the Oracle OCI Middleware version is incompatible with the SAP BI Server version following the upgrade.
