Null value is not allowed for single column dimensions error happens when creating the new model type and import some data with null value of the dimension attribute.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.8.12 (Client)
• SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.8.6 (Server) 

    1. Create a new model type using the MDMAudit query.
    2. Change the data types as needed.
    3. Save the model.
    4. Go to Data Management
    5. Click the "Set Up Import" in the Import Jobs
    6. Map the objects.
    7. Review Import
    8. Dimension Restrictions - Null value is not allowed for single column dimensions.

This is a by design behavior.

The restriction rule is added because single column dimension (aka fact table dimensions) do have a restriction that prevents NULL values.
