• The Username in UDF is different from the Login Name of the user. 
• The login name synced on IAS is different from the Username in SuccessFactors. 

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

1. Go to Employee Export and export the latest UDF. 
2. Go to Data Inspector. 
3. On Entity, select Table_User_Account. Add a filter criteria to search for the affected user (ex: Person ID External). 
4. You can export the results or open a new tab for Data Inspector. 
5. On the new query on Data Inspector, open Table_User_Sysinfo and search the user.
6. With all the data present, compare Username with value held in Table_User_Sysinfo and Employee Export. 
7. Notice the values are different. 

Legacy data defect. 

To sync the usernames from Table_User_Sysinfo to Table_User_Account, then please follow the below steps:

Sample Scenario: 

• On Table_User_Account, the username is "USER_A". 
• On IAS, the login name is "USER_A". 
• On UDF and Table_User_Sysinfo, the username is "USER_B". 

Correct username should be "USER_B". To update "USER_A" -> "USER_B": 

1. Via Basic Import: Update the username in the UDF to the value held in Table_User_Account (Username value should be "USER_A"). 
2. Export the UDF to ensure the update has gone through (this can take some time depending on the size of the file, but do not proceed to next step until the change has been reflected in the UDF). 
3. Via Basic Import, change the username back to the value it was before (value from Table_User_Sysinfo which is "USER_B"). 
4. Export the UDF to confirm update has gone through. 

Once this has been completed, the Table_User_Account username will be updated to the value held in the Table_User_Sysinfo. On the next run of user sync from SF -> IAS, the login name of the user should also be updated to ensure all usernames are matching and consistent. 

In the event, you would like to sync Table_User_Sysinfo with the username from Table_User_Account, please update via basic import. 

Note: A patch was implemented on June 10th, 2025 to ensure that this issue will not occur newly created users.
