Symptom
In Contingent Workforce Management, system allows extending the work order end date without validation when the position is inactive or same active position is assigned to another employee from both UI and import.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Contingent Workforce Management
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Position Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to any Contingent Worker profile.
- End work order through MSS.
- Make the position inactive after end work order date.
- Try to extend work order end date through UI or import action (Import and Export Data -> Work Order) to a date after position inactivation and it is allowed without any validation.
- Repeat step 1 and 2
- Assign the same position to any other employee once contingent worker is inactive
- Now, try to extend the work order for the contingent worker under same position and system saves it successfully without any position validation though it is already assigned to another employee and multiple incumbents are not allowed.

Resolution
- For updates/improvements to system design overcoming product gap, please raise an enhancement request by following KBA 2090228 on "How to submit an enhancement request".
- Work-around:
- Go to Upgrade Center -> Concurrent Employment for Contingent Workers -> Upgrade Now.
- Go to Manage Employee Central Settings -> Concurrent Employment Management -> enable switch -> Save.
