3630983 - Inconsistency in Org Unit Validity and Org Structure Timelines

Symptom

Inconsistency in the Org Units when checking the Org Unit validity and the org structure Timelines, specially in the Parent Organizational Units.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Organizational Management > Edit Org Structures.
  2. Select the Organizational Structure XYZ.
  3. Go to the Timelines tab.
  4. Check the Parent Organizational Units, ID ABC.
  5. Check that the validity of the Parent Org Unit ABC is not accurate according to what is maintained in the General tab of the Org Unit ABC.

Note: XYZ and ABC means different Org Units IDs.

Cause

In the Timelines of the Parent Organizational Unit ABC, the validity is maintained with the incorrect date.

Resolution

To fix this inconsistency, the validity date must be maintained in the Timelines of the Org Unit ID. Steps to do so:

  1. Go to the Organizational Management > Edit Org Structures.
  2. Select the Org Unit ABC.
  3. Go to the Timelines tab.
  4. Maintain the validity properly in the Parent Organizational Units attribute.
