3631096 - The Sales Employee is not Copied Automatically From Lead to an Opportunity

The Sales Employee value is not copied from lead to an opportunity, when lead is converted into an opportunity.

1. Go to the Navigation Menu and open the Lead entity.
2. Click on the + button to create New Lead and maintain all mandatory fields.
3. Now click on Save and Open, which create lead LMN (where LMN represent the lead name) .
4. In the General tab go to the Sales Team section and click on Add Involved Parties.
5. Maintain the involved party with role Sales Employee with value EMP1 (where EMP1 represent the sales employee's name).
6. Now click on action Convert to Opportunity and in new opportunity screen maintain all mandatory detail.
7. Click on Save button, which create opportunity PQR (where PQR represent the opportunity name).
8. In the opportunity PQR within General tab, go to the Sales Team section.
9. You will see the sales team with role Sales Employee is EMP2(where EMP2 represent another employee name), not EMP1 which is in the Lead LMN.

Sales Employees in the converted opportunity is not copied from the preceding lead but based on one of the determination steps maintained below.

1. Go to Settings ->All Settings and search for entity Opportunities.
2. In the Opportunities, open the party schema and select the party role as Sales Employee.
3. Under Action, click on Show Determination Steps.
4. The determination of Sales Employee within opportunity depends on one of the active determination steps maintained here.

This is the current system behavior.
