3631097 - There is No Configuration to Make the Customer Role Prospect as Default

Symptom

When creating the New Account, there is no setting to set the customer role Prospect as default.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2.
SAP Sales Cloud Version 2.
SAP Service Cloud Version 2.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the User Menu and click on Settings ->All Settings.
  2. Search for the entity Customer and click on the Roles.
  3. Here, you have maintained standard code BUP002 with Description as Prospect and standard code CRM000 with Description as Customer selected as Default.
  4. Now from the Navigation Menu open the Account entity .
  5. Click on + button to Create New Account.
  6. You can see for the standard field Role neither Customer nor Prospect is selected as default value.

Cause

To set a default role for the account quick create you have to create a custom determination, this can't be done in the under setting of Customer->Roles. Through settings you can specify a default role per role category.

Resolution

This is current system behavior.
