3631286 - Behaviour of Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours in Time Statement Form

In the time statement template, the placeholders for Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours are all properly set up, and in the time statement template mapping, all the corresponding placeholders are mapped with Reference to Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break in Hours.

However the display of Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours in time statement form generated is confusing.

This KBA explains the logic how the Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours are displayed in time statement form.

SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

The Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours will only show up either when there is Scheduled Break maintained in the work schedule (either Regular Work Schedule or Temporary Changes), or when there is Dynamic Break configured in the Job Information.
If there is neither type of breaks planned, the Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours will always come blank, because there is no break planned at all.

If there is either Scheduled Break fixed in the work schedule or Dynamic Break assigned in the Job Information, then the Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours will only show up together with any existing recorded break entry.
The Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours will not show up if there is no break entry at all for the day, even if there are breaks planned. 

When there is break scheduled either as fixed break in work schedule, or as dynamic break assigned in Job Info, and there is break recording for the day, then the Planned Break Start Time and Planned Break End Time will show up associated with the break recording, like below.

Detailed logic is as below.

• If there are more entries of planned breaks than the recorded break entries, for example, there are 3 break time slots planned, but only 2 break recordings exist on the day,
  then only the first two planned break time slots' Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours will be shown associated with the existing break recordings each.
• If there are more entries of recorded break entries than the planned break time slots, for example, there are 2 break time slots planned, but 3 break recordings exist on the day,
  then the two planned break time slots' Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours will show up associated with the first 2 break recordings. And for the rest break recordings, the Planned Break Start Time and Planned Break End Time will come blank.

Also,

• For Scheduled Breaks in the Work Schedule,
  the Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours follow the start and end time and duration configured in the work schedule.
• For Dynamic Breaks in the Job Information,
  the Planned Break Start Time, Planned Break End Time and Planned Break Hours are calculated based on Dynamic Break assigned in Job Info according to the Planned Working Time in the Work Schedule. 
  For example, if the Dynamic Break is defined as 30 min after 7 hr 00 min, and the Planned Working Time is 8:00 - 17:00, then the Planned Break Start Time will be 15:00, the Planned Break End Time will be 15:30 and the Planned Break Hours will be 30 min.
