When attempting to activate a lease contract error RECN027 - 'Error: Activation is not possible due to warnings (Posting Term)' is shown, preventing contract activation.

The referenced Warning shown for the posting terms is: RETMFI100 - 'Postings: conditions in foreign currency require currency translation rule'

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Access Apps 'Contract Management' or 'Manage Contract'
• Select contract to be activated
• Click on 'Activate' or 'Activate Contract' button depending on App used.
• Error is shown

Foreign currency condition is used but relevant currency translation rule is not assigned to the posting terms.

For each condition maintained in a foreign currency assign the relevant currency conversion rule.

The field can be maintained as follows:

In App 'Manage Contract':

1. Select the relevant foreign currency condition
2. Select tab 'Term'
3. Select 'Postings'
4. Maintain field 'CrcyTrRule'
5. As long as the same posting term is assigned to all conditions, the Currency Translation Rule will be assigned to each

In App 'Contract Management':

1. Open 'Posting Rule' in 'Posting Parameter' section
2. Maintain field 'Currency Translation Rule' for each relevant posting term
