Symptom

Identification Type BPCU01 Missing in 'Manage Business Partner Master Data' app but Visible in 'Maintain Business Partner' app.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Business Partner Master Data app.
  2. Select the BP.
  3. Navigate to the Identification tab.
  4. Enter the Identification Type 'BPCU01'.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Data Disappears After Saving.

Cause

This is standard system behavior.

Resolution

Identification type BPCU01 is only for internal purpose so this type is restricted in the Manage Business Partner Master Data app and not displayed.

This data is the BPCU01 ID of the BP in another system. Hence, this identification type from the Manage Business Partner Master Data app is restricted and cannot be updated and is in display mode when Business Partner is accessed from Maintain Business Partner app.
