Symptom
SGP Paternity Leave supports eligible working fathers (including self-employed fathers) in caring for their newborn children and encourages shared parental responsibility.
From 1 Apr 2025, all eligible working fathers will receive 4 weeks of GPPL(Government-Paid Paternity Leave). How can we fulfill this via Time Off settings?

Resolution
Configure the Accrual rules like below, to check eligibility and allot the 4 weeks quota accordingly.
- The Rule checks if the age of the youngest dependent is after 1 April 2025 then 4 weeks of quota is allotted.
- If the age of youngest dependent is before 1 April 2025 then 2 weeks is allotted.
- To get the age of the youngest dependent we are using the Get Date of Birth Of Youngest Dependent() rule function.
- This rule function reads the Dependent portlet assigned to the user as on Today date and fetches the youngest dependent as we have passed the Relationship type as 1(Relationship type is the picklist configured in the system..In the Picklist we have defined the child as 1)
