3632058 - Error "An exception occurred during synchronization for item: xxx of type: AsExcludedItem" caused catalog synchronization stuck

Symptom

  • During synchronization, the process became stuck. After aborting the sync, the logs displayed the following error:
    Deadlock victim found in last dump. This will cause next round of synchronization.
    An exception occurred during synchronization for item: xxx of type: AsExcludedItem
  • Exception observed in Dynatrace:
    Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.asboostitemconf' with unique index 'uniqueIdx_2243'. The duplicate key value is (<masked>, <masked>_<masked>).
  • Exception observed in Kibana: 
    An exception occurred during synchronization for item: xxx of type: AsExcludedItem.
