3632128 - Error KI249 when changing account assignment of PO service line in ME22N - SAP ERP & SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

When modifying a PO (item category 'D') in ME22N to add a previously missed account assignment information to a service line, error KI249 is triggered, leading to a system dump.  This issue persists even if identical account assignment data exists on other service lines, or if the line is recreated.
