3632426 - ADS Render Operation fails with 'No output was generated while rendering: Stream for: PDFOut' when using non-Latin1 fonts on Linux

Symptom

  • When attempting to render a PDF using Adobe Document Services (ADS) on a Linux platform, the operation fails with the following error message:
    com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ProcessingException: No output was generated while rendering: Stream for: PDFOut.
    Please validate the input files or streams and try again.
  • The default trace file shows following error:
    $$$/com/adobe/document/XMLForm/msg.XFA=[20258] Error creating PDEFont for font <non Latin1 font>.
