Symptom

The S_OPERATION 'Long text' field is not passing values correctly after migration is completed.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Migrate Your Data.
  2. Create a Migration Project and add the required Object.
  3. Simulate.
  4. Migrate 

Cause

The S_OPERATION 'Long text' field needs to fill the value with a leading zero for template field "Operation/Activity Number" in sheet "Operations".  For example, fill in 0090 instead of 90. 

Resolution

  • Fill the value with a leading zero for template field "Operation/Activity Number" in sheet "Operations".
  • Special characters that have control functions in SAP script are not supported, for example, ampersand '&' or consecutive commas ',,'. This is described in the object documentation.
  • Ensure the long text creation is dependent on the login language; keep the same when doing the migration.
