3632505 - Configuring Business Rule for Event Reason - Onboarding

 The business rule to default the event reason for onboarding from recruitment isn't triggering, leaving the event reason blank in new hire data review.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Create a business rule to derive event reason for external candidates.
2. Assign the rule in job info.
3. Initiate onboarding from recruitment.
4. Observe that the event reason does not get populated in new hire data review.

In Manage Business Configuration the Context equals yes for API which is causing the rule not trigger.

1. Refer to the guide Configuring Business Rule for Event Reason
2. Ensure the rule is created under the job information model base object.
3. Verify that the rule is associated with the event type OnSave.
4. Set the rule contexts to yes only for onboarding and no for other rule contexts.
5. Remove the API context for the rule.
