Symptom
An item is assigned as part of a curricula with a required date in the past.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Access Learning Administration
- Assign a curricula to a user
- Navigate to the user profile
- Notice that one of the items on the curricula was assigned with a required date in the past, making the item overdue.
Cause
- The user already had a previous completion or substitute completion for the item when it was assigned.
- When an item is assigned as part of a curricula with event-based retraining, the system checks if a previous completion date is present for the user.
- If the completion date exists, the system considers it a reassignment and uses the last completion date as a base for the reassignment instead of assigning it from scratch.
Resolution
This is the current system design.
As a workaround, it is possible to set "Ignore Previous Completion" setting in curriculum Manage content so that system will ignore previous completion and set required date accordingly. Refer 2394050 - Item still assigned to user even after completion - multiple assignments - SAP for Me
