A user is experiencing unclear behavior when using the Product attribute "Inherit Product Type from" with products using an attribute of type container, and the product(s) within it have their own product types.

Cause
Expected Behavior.
Resolution
As the product uses an attribute of type container, and the product(s) within it have their own product types, this is the expected behavior.
The system treats the Product Type of the Product in the container as part of the container structure, and this approach (where product type can be inherited from another product) applies only to line items that are not referencing another product.
