3632761 - How to create a Communication User and a Communication System in S/4HANA Cloud when establishing a connection in Datasphere

This SAP KBA is about how to create a Communication User and a Communication System in S/4HANA Cloud when establishing a S/4HANA Cloud type connection in Datasphere.

• SAP Datasphere
• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Note: Communication User is used for Communication System and Credentials of Datasphere connections.

• Prerequisite: Logon to the S/4HANA Cloud (Fiori Launchpad) Customizing Tenant (usually Client 100) with Administrator User.
• Create a new Communication User
  1. Open the Maintain Communication Users APP, and click the New button.
  2. Enter the User name and Description.
  3. Click the Propose Password button, and record the Proposed Password.
  4. Click the Create button.
• Create a new Communication System
  1. Open the Communication Systems APP, and click the New button.
  2. Create a new communication system and give it a name.
  3. Select the Inbound Only checkbox.
  4. Add the Communication User.
  5. Save it.
