3632868 - Email Notification was not sent after Task Chain finished with error.

Symptom

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

You have chosen option "Send email notification only when the run has completed with an error." according to SAP Help: Configure Email Notification | SAP Help Portal.
However emails are not sent after the task chain failed.

In the log of the task chain, you can find error message "Task <ID> finished at <timestamp> with status FAILED".
And the following error message can be found in the log of sub objects of the task chain:
"You have not authorized SAP to run task chains or schedule data integration tasks on your behalf. Select the option provided to give your consent."

Cause

Email notification is triggered upon task completion, but tasks were not started due to lack of consent from the user account.

Resolution

You need to give your consent to let SAP Datasphere run scheduled tasks you own.

Note:
Your consent is valid for 365 days. If your consent will expire within the next four weeks, when you attempt to schedule new tasks, SAP Datasphere displays a message warning that your consent is approaching its expiration date. After the consent has expired, a log message informs you that future tasks you have scheduled to run will no longer be executed. Renew your consent to resume task execution according to their original schedules.
