Symptom
UI Shows "0" When IFLD Data Type Field is Imported/Inserted as Null/Blank.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Maintain one field data type as IFLD in Manage Business Configuration.
- Import or insert the background information record by leaving this field as null or blank.
- Save then check the field value which shows "0".
Cause
IFLD means field will contain integer values hence this field has to be integer value.
If it is left blank, then value will be defaulted to "0".
Resolution
Though this value shows "0" in front end, but if you export the data and check the values it will still be blank. Hence from databased side no value is maintained.
Or
You can use "FFLD" to aviod this system behavior.
