3633206 - Publication fails with Error eSE112 when scheduling a Publication from a story based on a tunnel connection to BW or S/4 Hana

Symptom

When you open a story based on a live tunnel connection pointing to either a S/4 Hana database or a BW database, you may get an extra authentication popup.  If you get that popup when opening the story, any publication created off of that story will fail with the error eSE112.

Environment

  • Chrome version 130

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create story based on S/4 Hana or BW Live Tunnel Connection
  2. Open story, get extra popup
  3. Create Publication, publication fails with error

Cause

The extra popup is the cause of the failure.  The issue is currently being worked on by development and is documented in kbase 3628041

Resolution

The issue has been resolved in all tenants by preventing the www-authenticate header from being passed on GetResponse calls for tunnel connections and publications.
