3633229 - Users still see the item assigned even though the item was removed from the Program

Symptom

Item remains assigned to user even though the item was removed from the Program.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Cause

When an admin starts the process of removing an item from a Program, they have the option to keep the assignment or remove it. In case they opt to remove it, a background job is automatically generated to perform the removal process. This job should be available within the system under Background Jobs menu.

Resolution

To understand whether the removal job was triggered, navigate to:

  1. Learning Admin side>
  2. Type "Background Job" in the left side menu search>
  3. Search for Description with the word "Propagate">
  4. In case you have the Submitted or Scheduled date, it helps you to narrow down the jobs>
  5. Remove the Owner pre-set.

If there's no results for the search, most likely the admin did not propagate the changes to the users. In other words, the item removal was not selected by the admin.

To remove the items, the admin has to manually do it or use the Manage Assignments tool.
