3633296 - Error message "Credit: Exchange rate from &1 in &2 by date &3 could not be determined." when creating a sales order

Symptom

The following error occurs when creating sales order:

  • "Credit: Exchange rate from &1 in &2 by date &3 could not be determined."

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Create Sales Orers (VA01)
  2. Add material on Items tab and save
  3. See error message

Cause

The exchange rate is not maintained in the Currency Exchange Rates app.

Resolution

Go the Currency Exchange Rates app and a new exchange rate with the following missing details:

  • From Currency
  • To Currency
  • Date in the Valid From field
