3633577 - Missing category under People Pool when creating Field Permission Group

Symptom

When trying to create a new Field Permission Group, and trying to pick a category to filter employees, the desired standard filter is not showing up. This KBA shows one of the reasons why the criteria might not show up.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Compensation Home / Action For All Plans / Manage Statement Assignment Groups / Manage Field Permission Groups
  2. Try to create a new group
  3. Under People Pool open Pick a Category dropdown and notice, that the desired option is missing

Cause

Element Permissions in Manage Business Configuration is set to "none" instead of "write" or "read".

Resolution

  1. Go to "Manage Business Configuration"
  2. Select Employee Profile / Standard / *Missing Field*
  3. Select "Take Action" / "Make a Correction"
  4. Under "Element Permissions add Read or Write Permission and Save.
