3633639 - Different "Database Field Name" for objects after sync using the Configuration Transport Center

Symptom

You used the transport center to move the object configurations, however, the objects have different Database field names from both instances even though they were supposed to be exact copies of one another.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to companyID_A
  2. Create the transport bundle
  3. Add the object configuration to the bundle
  4. Initiated the transport request to companyID_B. 
  5. Login to companyID_B
  6. Validate the import request
  7. Import the bundles.

    Check the specific objects and they have different "Database Field Names".

Cause

Working as designed.

Resolution

As per Platform Product team, this is working as designed. Apparently, there is no guarantee that the database field names will have the same exact name for both instances after configuration transport. They have however emphasized that there won't be any data issue regarding this difference in the names. Customers/Partners doesn't need to be worried about this.
