3633678 - Variable selection in RSRT HTML runtime mode gets truncated or removed.

Symptom

  • When using the deprecated "HTML" runtime mode in transaction RSRT (the Query Monitor for SAP BW), values entered on the variable screen may be truncated or removed. This prevents the query from running correctly.
  • This problem does not occur when using RSRT with the standard "ABAP BICS" runtime mode, which is the recommended and supported approach for query execution.
