3633736 - Date overlap error with pseudo hire parameter in Workforce replication from EC to MDI

• A customer has enabled the "Workforce Replication from EC to SAP Master Data Integration" business scenario in SuccessFactors and followed all configuration steps as per SAP recommendations.
• When the pseudo hire is configured as instructed in the documentation, they receive a "date overlap for WorkforcePerson" error: "Make sure the dates for the roles don't overlap".
• Employee data spans the cutover date and there are multiple Job Information records per day, which seems to contribute to unexpected behavior under the current configuration.
• Replication works as expected once the pseudo hire parameter is removed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Enable the "Workforce Replication from EC to SAP Master Data Integration" business scenario in SuccessFactors.
2. Configure the pseudo hire parameter as per documentation.
3. Run the MDI job with Pseudo Recruit parameter.
4. Observe the "date overlap for WorkforcePerson" error message.

The error was raised by S/4 Worker inbound. S/4 allows only hard-coded pseudo hire event reason "PSEUDO_HIRE" or runs into errors when processing records of multiple changes per day.

1. Update the external id of pseudo hire event reason "HIRE10" to "PSEUDO_HIRE" in the UI "Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures".
2. Check if the hard-coded "PSEUDO_HIRE" is accepted by the S/4 inbound.
3. If the replication works as expected after removing the pseudo hire parameter, consider removing this configuration parameter as an optional fix to unblock the customer.
