Symptom
When filtering for the item with the End Date as DD/MM/YYYY in the Items tab of a contract, only the line items with End Date DD-1/MM/YYYY are displayed.
For example when filtering for the items with End Date 31.05.2025, only the line items with the End Dates 30/05/2025 are displayed.
Note: The same behavior also occurs for the Start Date of the line items in the Contracts.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Sales Order Work Center.
- Go to the Sales Order View.
- Filter for All Contracts.
- Search for the Contract ABC (where ABC represents the ID of the Contract).
- Open, Select View All.
- Navigate to the Items tab.
- In the Item table, locate the End Date column.
- In the End Date column, filter for DD/MM/YYYY.
Only the Items with End Dates as DD-1/MM/YYYY are displayed.
Cause
When filtering the End Date for contract items, the system converts the End Date from the backend to the logged-on user's time zone, displaying it as either minus one day or plus one day.
Resolution
This is a current limitation of the filtering engine for Start Dates and End Dates of Contract documents.
