Symptom

  • Unable to test the connection to ABAP source system (ECC system or S/4HANA system) in Datasphere.
  • Receive the following error when validating the connection:
    • Remote Tables: Unable to connect remote source: Initialization of destination failed" Connect to SAP gateway failed.
    • LOCATION CPIC(TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode
    • ERROR partner '<server_name>:33XX' not reached.
