3634148 - Query exceeding the time (on MultiPleX) crashes the coordinator with error "while handling one abort, IQ encountered another abort" - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • In a Multiplex when a query exceeds the time defined by "MAX_QUERY_TIME" with the message below,  while handling one abort, IQ encountered another abort from the same thread which let one of the Writers or Coordinator to crash:

      O/S Err#: 0, ErrID: 519 (hos_attnexception); SQLCode: -1006120, SQLState: 'QBB20', Severity: 1
    [20358]: The operation has been cancelled - Max_Query_Time exceede
    **** ERROR *** Assertion failed: 109801 (16.1.50.2774)

  • It doesn't happen in Simplex system.
