Symptom

You encounter random abap dumps of DBSQL_CONNECTION_NO_METADATA and in the work process trace (dev_w*) files see that the dump is due to

ERROR => Connect to database failed, rc=1, rcSQL=-10709
SQLCODE    : -10709
SQLERRTEXT : Connection failed (RTE:[89001] Cannot resolve host name '<HANA database hostname>' rc=-3: Temporary failure in name resolution <Hana DB hostname:port>
