3634287 - Position Not Changing For Internal Hire - Employee Central

• The internal hire has the previous position in the Manage Pending Hires page;
• The internal hire was completed with no changes to position;

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Create a job requisition;
2. Send candidate to MPH;
3. Position is the same as previous position;

When the job requisition was created, the position had a future record to become inactive.

The user was sent to MPH after the the effective data of the inactivation record and the position became inactive while the candidate was still in RCM. 

When the position becomes inactive while the candidate is in RCM and the job requisition is sent to MPH, the new position will not be retrieved from the job requisition. Instead, the user's current position will be shown. 

How to confirm this scenario: 

1. Go to Manage Positions;
2. Open the position that the user was supposed to be transferred to;
3. Check when the inactivation record was created and when if became inactive;
4. Go to job requisition;
5. Click on (i) "Info About This Form";
6. Look for Audit Trail:
   1. The creation of the form is after the creation of the inactivation record of the position from Manage Positions;
   2. The Final Form date is after the effective date of the inactivation record (position was already inactive)

Note: In this scenario, the MPH will show the previous position and if it is not changed to a valid position when the internal hire is submitted, all changes made in the internal hire will still be saved, but the position will remain the same.

How to correct the issue: 

• If the user is still in MPH, go to Manage Position and delete the inactivation record or add an activation record that is after the start date of the internal hire;
• Go to MPH, select the correct position and continue the hire.
