3634698 - Removing the Termination Date for an Employee in SAP Business ByDesign

Symptom

An employee was originally hired with a termination date due to a fixed-term contract. However, the contract has since been updated, and the employee should now be considered as having an unlimited contract (no termination date).

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Cause

Update the employee record to reflect an unlimited employment contract by setting the termination date to 31.12.9999.

Resolution

Steps to Extend the Validity of the Employee Record:

  1. Navigate to the Personnel Administration work center.
  2. Go to the Employees view.
  3. Select the relevant employee and click Edit.
  4. Open the Employment tab.
  5. In the Termination Date field, enter 31.12.9999.

This change will mark the employment as ongoing with no defined end date.
