Symptom

  • Server hung when dropping table

  • In the srvlog the following is noticed:

    • Delete of 16 rows completed for table: #table, 0 seconds.
      I. 07/12 13:55:45.472965 Delete of 16 rows started for table:

      Delete of 16 rows completed for table: #table_s, 0 seconds.
      I. 07/12 13:55:45.569098 Insert for '#table' completed in 0 seconds.  32 rows inserted.
      I. 07/12 15:34:48.004537 Connection terminated abnormally
      I. 07/12 15:34:48.004769 Connection terminated abnormally
      I. 07/12 15:34:48.005602 Disconnected TCPIP client's AppInfo


  • In the iqmsg log the following is noticed:

    • I. 07/12 14:16:59. 0000000000 Cancellation request received:  SA connHandle: 361956  SA connID: 001  IQ connID: 0001234567  User: userA
      I. 07/12 15:34:48. 0000000000 Cancellation request received:  SA connHandle: 361934  SA connID: 002  IQ connID: 0001233217  User: userB

  • In the pstack the following functions are noticed:

      db_iqddl::DropTable

      UIQDDL_DropTable

    • st_database::GetSaintForbidLatch

      st_database::GetForbid

      s_blockmap::ForceConvertToUseModNumIfNeeded

      hs_ohc::hs_ohc(db_IndexDef*, s_openmode, s_index const**)

    • Worker::yield_to_forbidding
